Don't get too excited Washington

Is Mcnabb a huge upgrade? Will he help the team win those games Campbell couldn't? Yes,yes, but let's not start the Super Bowl talk. Washington still is lacking in two major areas to be successful, Wide Receiver and Running Back. Mcnabb will have the very Deshaunesque Santana Moss to throw to, but past that there are Devin Thomas and Malcom Kelly. Thomas has potential to break out this year, and is going to be a key factor in Mcnabb's success. How Thomas goes, so will Mcnabb. Mcnabb has always had at least one decent WR, but he really shines when he has that perfect number two, a role player who he can depend on. Fantasy wise, I would even call Devin Thomas the drafts top sleeper this year. The problem is, after Thomas, there really is not much to depend on. Given Moss' age, it may be wise for the Skins to get another sly speedster just in case. Also, is anyone really sold on the combination of Larry Johnson and Portis? Could the two rejuvenate each other to squeeze one amazing year out of each? Sure. Likely? Eh. Shanny pounds his backs and I am not sure either one of these two has it left in the tank. Portis looked every ounce of his age last season and LJ looks to be right there on the brink of the drop. Of course, this could be all wrong. If Thomas and the backfield do rise to the challenge.....Washington could be scary. Let's see what happens in the draft, I think they address these two positions and solidify a Super Bowl run next season.
