Like they can agree on anything right now, but the Players Union and the NFL are talking about new OT rules in the playoff's which would give both teams a chance...kind of. If the coin flip winning team takes the ball and only gets a field goal then the opposition gets a crack at scoring a touchdown. If the coin flip winning team scores a TD then it's over. Huh?????? Better, than what's in place but here's another idea.
The Pro Bowl winners division automatically wins the flip in the Super Bowl.
If you wanna get really crafty:
In divisional play, the team who had more Pro Bowl players the previous year would win the toss. If a tie, then whichever teams players amassed the most total scores, then yardage would determine. A little nuts I know, but let's make the Pro Bowl mean something. Enough with players taking every play off, using it as a party on our dime. Baseballs game is now competitive and enjoyable. Let's do the same.
